EU facing Migrations
”EU facing migrations” is meant for youth workers, who want to contribute to a more tolerant and open society while fighting prejudices and xenophobia by using techniques of outreach work and jointly developing tools.
NGO Calamus will organize a three-activity project ”EU facing migrations” in 2016, in Belgrade, Serbia. It contains two training courses, in which the participants will gain knowledge about migrations that are currently becoming even bigger issue in the region, its roots and causes, the difficulties and threats that refugees and migrants are facing and learn different techniques and methods how to approach and support them. The third activity is a seminar where the participants will be able to jointly develop a tool kit for empowerment of other outreach workers in this field.
This project is aimed for 30 youth workers who are interested in using outreach techniques while working with migrants in their local communities and will be held in July, September and November 2016. Partners are from EU and Western Balkan countries that are facing the issue of migrations.
The project has been funded by Erasmus+.
