Calamus is focusing on:
- social protection (providing support to inclusion and improvement of standards of socially marginalized groups)
- children and youth (raising awareness of a nonviolent, tolerant and open society, empowering and strengthening their active participation in the community)
- culture and tradition (promoting preservation of customs and heritage, protecting valuable assets of the community, identity and history, and foster international exchange for educational, artistic and cultural purposes);
Working directly with target groups, Calamus has developed partnerships with many international and national organisations, civil society, local self-government, art organizations, youth groups and schools.
Calamus has in the past years, successfully organized exhibitions, contests, festivals and seminars which were showing the beauty of different cultures living together for centuries, by engaging young people, non-affirmative artists and people from vulnerable groups.
